Cleans top-loaders well! I was a bit skeptical because although the listing says it's suitable, the instructions and pictures only show front loaders. My washing machine doesn't have an agitator, and the drum itself is quite clean, but there's always a small amount of odour (not my clothes thankfully). I keep the lid open for at least 24 hours after every load so it dries, but it's not possible to clean without products like this. I put two tablets in on pre-soak, hot, highest water level (top loads always need more cleaner since it's more water). After this cycle, I could smell the cleaning agents. I did another rinse + spin cycle, and the smell disappeared and the drum looks shinier and the smell I usually notice is gone. Because I have two use two tablets, this $25 pack of tablets will last me half a year if I clean every month. I'm planning on cleaning once very 2 months though, since I live by myself so I don't use my washing machine as much as a normal family.

I usuallly put in vinegar Then run a cycle and usually cleans the smell of the washing machine. This tablet seems to do the same, it has a slight 'clean' scent. Visibly, the stainless steel interior seems the same, no difference. I can't say it works better, but I do notice that stains also are cleaned off the steel tub.
